The temperature of the wax melt warmer is the single biggest factor to influence how long a wax melt will produce an effective scent throw.  Some warmers get hotter than others. Wax melt warmers that get really hot will produce a higher intensity fragrance, but the fragrance will dissipate much sooner. Wax melt warmers that don’t get as hot tend to produce a less intense, but longer lasting aroma. Therefore, it is a trade off of intensity versus endurance.

Please Note:  Some of the Phthalate Free Fragrances tend to lose their scent faster than non Phthalate Free fragrances.

"Why do some of my Soy Wax Melts seem to last longer than others?"

Please keep in mind when purchasing the $1.00 Smelly Square Tester - It is just that, a Tester.  All future product labeIs will indicate that the Smelly Square is a $1.00 Tester/Sample.

I am aware that most people will use 2 or more cubes of the "other" brand in their warmers.  Especially in larger areas.  Please Note:  Even though the Smelly Square Tester may look big, they don't weigh much more than a cube of the "other" brand and are made from 100% organic soy, not a paraffin/chemical mix.  Keeping that in mind, a few of the tester scents are best used in smaller areas if you are only going to use the one tester.  For example, the Jamaican Bay Rum Tester - lots of feedback that there is no smell.  If you bought the tester, please keep in mind that it is a Phthalate Free fragrance that is best used in a smaller area compared to large open spaces (Dining/Living Room/Kitchen attachments).  If you are having a problem smelling your soy wax melt tester - try moving it to another area or add more squares. I find air flow can also play a big part in scent throw.

Some examples of smaller areas may include:

Medium sized kitchen

Large bathroom

Huge bedrooms

Long Hallways

Large Laundry Rooms
